Heading North to Acadia National Park in Maine

Tiffany Jia, Author

Did you know that Acadia National Park has one of the first places to see a sunrise in the U.S.A. every morning? This unique park is located in Maine and is famous for its alluring sunsets and sunrises. It is also filled with breathtaking mountains and landscapes. I went there last summer and it is still one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Here are two reasons why I recommend going to this national park:

  1. Acadia National Park has beautiful hiking trails.

This park has the most exquisite trails that I’ve ever seen. My favorite one is called the Beehive trail. Because of the rocky route, this trail is considered to be hard; however, when you climb this difficult trail, you see many dazzling views of the forest and ocean below. This is one of the photos I took when I was on the Beehive:

There are more easier routes other than the Beehive such as the Jordan Pond full loop trail. I saw many spectacular views of the pond and nearby mountains when I hiked this trail with my family.

  1. Acadia National Park has many exotic animals.

These many animals include peregrine falcons, moose, and songbirds. Moose are not common in Acadia, so feel lucky if you see one. You can also find beaver dams in the ponds that you may pass by when you go hiking. You might see some beavers too! I have also seen some peregrine falcons during some of my hikes. These birds are extremely unique because of their ability to reach up to 240 miles per hour. This fact proves that they are the fastest birds on the planet!

Acadia National Park is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever been. It’s a relatively affordable trip too! I hope you go there with your family or friends someday!
