Many of you have probably heard about the Random Acts of Kindness Week. To find out more, I interviewed two TIGS Peer Leaders, who are organizing the event, Zach Rosner and Jake Ornstein.
Q: So, you guys are doing Random Acts of Kindness Week next week. What exactly is it?
Zach: So, Random Acts of Kindness Week is a week dedicated to kindness. It doesn’t have to be planned or anything. It’s just completely random.
Jake:We hope that this event promotes kindness and we hope that people do random acts of kindness not just because its Random Acts of Kindness Week
Zach: We want it to continue to later times also.
Q: Are any events or projects going on this week?
Jake: We have the Upstander of the Week project. Every day, you can vote for someone you think was an upstander that day and we’re going to pull a name each day and announce it.
Zach: It’s similar to, if you remember in the beginning of the year, the Upstander of the Week with the Jets tickets.
Jake: We thought that that was very popular, so we tried to incorporate that in our planning for Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Zach: There’s also in the seventh grade annex, there’s a painted window, which is also for kindness. And there’s some surprises that you might run into the hallways or other places.
