Get in the Halloween spirit at MMS!

Holden Bergam

With Halloween just around the corner, students and faculty at MMS are getting in the Halloween spirit. However, with COVID forcing the hype for the spookiest day of the year to take a sharp turn, it is our responsibility to keep the Halloween spirit alive. This is why Millburn Middle School peer leadership is sponsoring the first ever Virtual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

In order to participate in this event, you need a pumpkin. From there you decide to carve it or to simply decorate it without carving. If you decide to carve it, make sure you get a parent’s permission, and have parent supervision while carving it. If you decide to use decorations, be creative, and get your family members to help you out!

Judging will be split into three categories: scariest, most creative, and best overall. Additionally, submissions will be grouped by grade 6, 7, 8, and faculty. Entries will be judged by peer leader advisors, who will choose two winners per grade, and a faculty entry winner.

Scan the code for the padlet at the bottom of the page. The password is “MUSTANG.” You must post your submissions in the Padlet, and be sure to include your first name, last initial, and your first period teacher’s name.  The deadline for submissions will be Midnight on Friday, October 30th, and winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 4th. Make sure your entries are school appropriate, as this Padlet will be visible to all event participants. Check out MMS Lantern Line up for more information. Make sure to email Middle School Peer Leaders with any questions. Happy Halloween!
