MMS Dialogue Night: Remote Learning Edition

Holden Bergam

On November 19th, CORE 8 peer leaders facilitated Dialogue Night, an MMS tradition in which parents find out what it is like to be a student at Millburn Middle School, and students challenge their knowledge of past experiences at MMS. The theme was “Making connections in a remote middle school,” because the peer leaders wanted to give students and parents the opportunity to have a sense of awareness of how members of our community are overcoming this difficult, remote environment. Additionally, peer leaders, parents, and students discussed how relationships have changed in the virtual world, and what we can do about it. The Dialogue night was held in a game night format with discussion breaks. The feedback from students was phenomenal, because of the hard work from CORE 8 peer leaders and the guidance department.

Please make sure to stay tuned for upcoming dialogue nights by checking the morning announcements and your guidance Google Classroom. We highly recommend you join future dialogue nights, because they are a great way to gain leadership experience. Thanks for reading!
