No Way Home


Marvel films are returning! Usually, there are three Marvel Cinematic Universe Films every year. However, due to the global pandemic, there have been no releases in 2020. But in 2021, Marvel is striking back. There have been three movie releases this year in Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals and Black Widow. On Disney+, Marvel’s released a few subpar shows including Loki, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Hawkeye. And now, Marvel is ready for another round, and it’s their biggest one yet, combining the old and the new. The trailer views suggest it’s going to be a massive one. This Friday December 17th there will be the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home!

Fan favorite since his creation in 1962, Spider-Man has been arguably Marvel’s most iconic and most popular superhero. There have been three different film series of Spider-Man, with three different actors playing the prestigious role. Firstly, there was Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man with three movies. Three villains from this story are set to be playing a role in the upcoming film. Additionally, there is Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man series where there were two films and two villains from this story line have a part to play in the upcoming film. The present day Spider-Man, who has been featured in two Spider-Man movies, Tom Holland. He will be playing Spider-Man in No Way Home.

The new movie is the sequel to Far From Home and Homecoming. In this one, Peter Parker’s identity has been revealed to the public and he must deal with the consequences. Not knowing what to do, he makes a hasty decision and decides to have Doctor Strange open up the multiverse to change Peter’s reality. A mistake occurs during the process (of which we don’t know) and now villains and heroes from past Spider-Man movies are suddenly appearing such as Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and the Spider-Mans we mentioned before. 

Despite not even being released, the film has already been put on the map. Its trailer broke the record for the most views with 355.5 million, in the first 24 hours of being released. With this mashing of characters and crazy hype leading up to release, we can conclude that this new Spider-Man adventure is going to be awesome. Hopefully, it’s the best one yet!
